The FoodCorps Lessons include hands-on experiential activities to engage kids in learning about healthy food. This suite of 96 lessons are for grades K-5, and are organized through this learning progression by grade, season and theme.

Healthy Seedlings is an elementary school program consisting of 18 hands-on lessons each year. Lessons are taught by DUG staff and volunteers inside the classroom and utilize the school-based community garden as a learning environment. K-5
PEAS (Partners in Education Agriculture and Sustainability) offers project-based learning curriculum to school campuses, operates a community farm and leads professional development to help teachers bridge key science and health concepts from the garden to the classroom. K-8

FoodCorps Lessons and accompanying videos, filmed by our corps members. Though these lessons were designed to be led in a school setting, many of the activities included in these lessons can be led in a home setting with a caregiver.
We hold free, virtual trainings throughout the year that provide Continuing Professional Education for teachers who want to expand their knowledge of gardening, outdoor curriculum, grant-writing, and more.
